FIFA 26 on Nintendo Switch 2: What to Expect
[ez-toc]
I’ve got to say, seeing FIFA 26 on the new Switch 2 is pretty exciting. For years, Switch players had to deal with scaled-down versions of the game, but this one actually feels like it belongs with the PS5 and Xbox Series X editions.
The game gives you two ways to play: Authentic, which is slower and more tactical, and Competitive, which is faster and more action-packed. Honestly, I like that choice because it fits whatever mood you’re in.
The Manager Mode got a nice overhaul too. There are now live challenges and storylines that actually change depending on how you play. And if you’re into Ultimate Team, there’s plenty to keep you busy—new tournaments, live events, and refreshed Rivals gameplay.
Graphically, it’s solid, though it runs at 30 FPS, not 60 like on other consoles. Some people might complain, but for me, it still plays really smoothly and looks good on the Switch screen.
All in all, FIFA 26 on Switch 2 is a step forward. It’s portable, fun, and finally feels like a proper modern FIFA. Definitely worth picking up if you like football games.
